Whether you call them remote controlled helicopters or radio controlled helicopters children all around are eager to fly one as well as adults. With the advancement’s in electronic, and mechanical components these RC’s can take to new heights making them the ultimate toy to own. These flying machines give new meaning to the word taking control as they hurdle through the sky with ease. The best thing about this hobby is that anyone can fly no matter what your flight skills are like.

Some people like to start building their RC helis from scratch making this method the most difficult and yet most rewarding way to fly a RC. Most beginners will start with a micro or a coaxial RC helicopter preferably a micro because of there size. But I would recommend a coaxial RC helicopter because of there flying stability. Nevertheless a beginner should be cautious of the heli they are going to pilot as there are many types of flyer’s out there that are not meant for anyone who has never flown before. With that being said here are a few tips to follow when looking to pilot a RC heli for the first time.

A micro RC helicopter would probably be a good idea for beginner but the realty is that most micro sized helis have a single rotor which is a little more tougher to fly, although they are very durable and can take a hit. If your looking to get a micro RC heli look for one that’s easy to fly or has a set of co-axial rotors. Co-axial RC helicopters are easy to fly because they use two rotors, one on top of the other, each spinning in opposite directions which cancels the torque between them. This design allows the heli to become a smother fly-er and easier to control. Another thing to look for if you are a total beginner is to stay away from remote controlled helicopters that are ARF (almost ready to fly) as these helis are pre-assembled and require you to finish and make proper adjustment’s to the heli.

A RTF (ready to fly) heli would be more suitable for a beginner as most of them can be flown straight out of the box. Another thing to look for is to make sure your heli has no more than 3 or 4 channels. More channels means more functions which means you will have to learn more about flying your heli. Any good RC should have 3 Channels or more as a RC heli with 2 channels will only allow you to move up or down and turn left or right. But a 2ch micro might be perfect for a beginner as it doesn’t have that many functions to control. A 3rd channel will allow you to move your heli forward and backward. And a 4th channel will allow your heli to roll or bank left and right. The more channels your heli has the more maneuverability your heli will have. The 9060 overlord double co-axial helicopter is a great example of a RTF 3 channel giving 4-way directional control that is very durable and very easy for beginners to handle.

When choosing a RC helicopter it is important not to pick one that you can’t handle. Stick with the basics and keep in mind what your budget is as well as how much spare parts are. Some RC helicopters come with spare parts, these are good in case you have to change a blade if you crash. There are a few things you can do to avoid crashes which can cost you, first is to practice on a RC helicopter simulator. A simulator will help you gain better flight skills and build more confidence. Second you can attach a crash kit, this kit will allow your RC helicopter to take a harder crash if it happens as it protects your helis landings, but it’s not completely fool proof.

A third option is to practice with your heli if you feel confident enough, take it easy if its your first time and don’t start doing any tricks right away. Get comfortable with the control and get a feel for how the heli handles. Lightly press on the throttle until you have mastered hovering. Then practice short distance landings, don’t fly above 3 to 4 feet of the ground, stay as low as possible until you’ve got the hang of it. Just keep it easy in the beginning and be patient as this can take you several try’s before you get it right. Remember to get a heli that you can handle and make sure you practice before you take your remote controlled helicopters out for show to let everyone know that you have become master pilot.

An Excuse To Try Some Toys!

Having children in the family is great – there’s no doubt that being surrounded by younger people can give you an extra bit of zip in life. It can also give you a great excuse to try some of the interesting new toys that have appeared in the last few years!

You needn’t feel guilty about playing with toys and games – most of us do it! Some games and electronics have clearly been designed to appeal to a wide spectrum of ages. The Nintendo Wii has been a good example of this.

You’ll probably find as many adults playing on the Wii as children. Indeed, the games console seems to have been marketed as something to be used by all the family.

I recently got my hands on a helicopter battle game called Sky Challenger. The packaging stated that it was for those aged 8 and upwards. Since I fitted into the recommended age bracket, I thought I’d give it a go – just for research purposes, as I’m sure you’ll understand!

If you’ve not seen these games in the shops then you may not be familiar with the concept. Basically the box contains two remote controlled helicopters. The ones that I purchased were relatively small (just a few inches in length), although there are larger alternatives available.

Made of a lightweight material, they can be used indoors. Flying a radio controlled helicopter can be great fun and having two opens up far more possibilities, particularly when you realise that they have the ability to shoot each other out of the air!

If you’re a worried parent who was thinking of buying these for their kids then don’t worry – this isn’t quite as dramatic as it sounds.

When you shoot your opponent’s helicopter what you are effectively doing is briefly jamming the signal between their helicopter and their controller. As you might imagine, this causes them to lose control
1000
of their machine.

There’s a real art to keeping the helicopter in the air once it’s been shot at. It’s practically impossible on some occasions, particularly if you were flying close to the floor.

One thing that I would say is that this is a game best played in a large room. I found the helicopters quite difficult to operate at some points in time and really needed plenty of space, without any obstructions.

There’s no doubt that the game is great fun though. It was so good, in fact, that I may even let the kids have a go!

There are many different terms you will hear or see when you buy a radio controlled helicopter for the first time and fly it. It is important to understand the different terms so you can talk to other flyers and have a clear understanding of the terminology.

One of the terms that you will come across is RTF. RTF means ready to fly. This term is in reference to a helicopter that you might purchase on a shelf. If a helicopter on a shelf is RTF then it means that you can fly it right out of the box. Many helicopters are not RTF because they are designed for people to put them together on their own or parts need to be added to the helicopter. An RTF is the best type of helicopter to buy if you are a beginner. Many people love to put their own things together because they think that they will know theirs better. This is true but it is best to buy one ready to fly off of the shelf to learn off of.

Another term that you will see is cyclic controls. Cyclic controls are those controls that allow a helicopter to move forward/backward and left/right. This motion of your helicopter is done by altering the pitch of the primary rotor head. When you manipulate both of these controls together you will be able to achieve the nose down position of a helicopter when doing forward flights.

The collective control is another term that you will hear quite often. This control is what you will use to climb and descend when starting or landing the helicopter. When you use a collective control technique you will alter the pitch angle of the blades.

The yaw is something that needs to be counterbalanced. This is because the rotor has a specific action to prevent the helicopter from spinning in circles uncontrollably. When the tail rotor is mounted properly at 90 degrees then this is what prevents the uncontrollable spinning. The yaw is what gives you the side to side movement and control over a helicopter.

The servo is something on a radio controlled helicopter that you control directly from your transmitter. There is a push rod that is small and it responds on the element that it controls. This allows you to change the distance or the angle that the helicopter can travel in. The servo allows you to change the flight pattern or position strategically when you are flying your radio controlled helicopter.

There are many terms that you will hear or see when you begin flying radio controlled helicopters. It is important to understand the different terms so you can learn how to properly fly your helicopter. In addition, you should learn these terms so you can talk to other helicopter enthusiasts and know what they are talking about. Many of these terms include words like throttle, collective control, servo, yaw, and more. These terms are just a few that you will come across as terminology for helicopter enthusiasts.

Before You Fly Your Rc Helicopter

Of all the radio controlled vehicles on the market, an RC helicopter, in my opinion, is the most exciting and challenging RC hobby. Remote control cars and trucks are mastered in a relatively short amount of time. RC airplanes require a bit more skill and maneuverability; but the RC helicopter tops them all, for exhilarating thrills.

Experienced skills and perseverance is definitely needed to become proficient with it’s 3D maneuvering capabilities, and be a topnotch RC helicopter pilot.

But don’t let this scare you off. If this is a new hobby for you, it is important that the right choices are made at the beginning; so you can avoid getting the most expensive, and complicated helicopter, only to find that it is a bit more than you can chew at first.

Here are some suggestions to make your first purchase a good one:

Purchase a helicopter that meets your present skill levels.
You had to walk before you could run. It will be a much more rewarding experience if you give yourself time to really get the feel of flying a basic radio controlled helicopter. There are two choices to make at first; purchasing an electric model, or one powered by gas.

Electric models are easier to master, but even these have several different channel groups. They are: 2, 3, 4, and 6 channel models.

The one most recommended for the beginner is the 2 channel model because its maneuverability is simple and direct. It will allow you to quickly pick up the fundamentals of the three basic maneuvers of your RC helicopter; left and right, up and down, and hovering.

After you master a 2 channel model you can continue to move up to models with more channels. The moves become more complicated as the number of ch
1000
annels increase.

Fly your new RC helicopter after you completely understand the instruction manual that comes with it.
Of course, we want to rip open the box and get out there with out new helicopter. But remember, they are just as complex and elaborate as any full sized helicopter. Take some time, acquaint yourself with the working parts; what their function is, and how they interact. Have a good understanding of the controls. There are pre-flight checks needed before every successful flight. It only takes one loose part to turn a exciting, fun outing into a short lived disappointment.

Don’t overlook the simulator software. It is not a kid’s game for a rainy day.
More than likely your RC helicopter kit will come with this simulator software. Simulators can help you learn to control your helicopter without and damage or consequences to your helicopter if your crash. Yes, you might as well be prepared, you will crash more than once while learning to control it. The simulator just helps you learn without the expense and time in repairs to your own RC helicopter.

These three suggestions will help you get on your way to a successful, fun, and exciting new hobby of RC helicopter flying. You will see the rewards as you step by step acquire the skills to perform some of the most complicated aerial acrobatics that only your RC helicopter can do.

The radio controlled helicopter gyroscope is an electric device that is made so that the body of the helicopter can revolve around it’s axis.

The gyro is fitted between the rear rotor and the receiver. It is able to sense any chance in the rotation movement and atones the force switching the angle of the rotor, thus creating a force in the opposite location nullifying the effect.

There are a lot of gyro’s available in the marketplace and price of each is different. The price of the gyro depends on which features it has from the factory. The more advanced it is, the more it will cost.

But for the most part, all gyro’s provide the simple function of controlling the axial rotation of the heli.

Being a beginner, a constant hold would be nice to start. The constant heading hold addon lets you have complete control of the side, backward, and forward motions while keeping the helicopter tail still.

Sometimes this feature can be useful because it lets the beginner have complete control of the helicopter without worrying about the tail.

The most used brands of RC helicopter gyro’s available in the market include Futaba, JR Futaba being the most used and is available in many models.

Futaba makes a wide range of radio controlled helicopter gyros with advanced countenance like AAVCS Active Angular Velocity Control System. These features make the gyro stable and very accurate while functioning.

The newest series being the GY from Futaba, which is made for all different models, like the GY240, GY401, GY502, etc.

All of my experiences with gyros have been easy to setup. Just simply follow the instructions and you really should not have any problems.

If you are thinking about getting into the RC Helicopter hobby, you will absolutely need to know about rc helicopter gyros and how they work. Luckily, if you read the part of this article, you do!

As a globally recognized radio controlled helicopter pilot with dozens of medals and rewards, I know a thing or two concerning blades on RC helicopters, and the issues that they can occasionally cause. There’s a guy who left a high-quality evaluation for a company that didn’t know enough about to write an educated assessment, there are additionally stories about individuals who left bad reviews when actually the product was quite useful, and subsequently they were by no means asked to create a review for another business again, and this small error cost them thousands as well.

But the moral of the short article is, constantly make 100% sure that your evaluation are well examined and that you do not place your name on everything unless you sincerely trust that it is a high quality product, even then at the same moment, it’s extremely easy to merely write badly about anything, but you must also dodge that if you ever would like to be certified for any more reviews again. When it comes to rc helicopter blades, I was extremely fortunate to be a part of a detailed rc helicopter blade testing lesson, so I could envision what are crucial things to check whilst you’re looking into buying another rc helicopter for your large or small collection, and especially once you’re getting prepared to pay for your very first radio controlled helicopter.

Fundamentally, the blades are ultra important. They must be able to take a lot of damage, just in case you are not a very skilled flyer, for the reason that it is the blades that will sometimes run into objects and become broken. At the same instant, you do not wish for the blades to be too sharp, for the reason that you do not want them to break any of your other things, especially if you are flying the RC helicopter in your house (which I attempt to discourage in every circumstances, but Everyone does it). All together, you’re best off going with a helicopter that has strong metal or plastic blades-although the plastic blades tend to be lighter, so they are sometimes the better bet, but the metal blades tend to be more durable, so it’s really anyone’s guess. And you moreover want to look for blades that are rounded at the ends. This is not only useful because rounded ends are more sleek, it is also great for the reason that you can guard your body and your family from wounding themselves on the radio controlled helicopter blades while they are, for example, landing a helicopter down from the sky.

There’s a good friend of mine who had a helicopter on top of her bed, and she did not have any idea to get rounded blades, and once she reached to grab it down, she instantly dropped it, and in fact cut her hands very seriously. She did not need stitches, but it was still a very scary occurrence for her that she might have easily avoided by just buying a RC helicopter with rounded ends on the wings. In some other situations, I hear about some people that purchased metal blades on their rc helicopters, and the remnants of the helicopter was not built strongly enough to hold up the heavy metal blades, and these rc helicopters by no means fly properly.

Tips For Buying Your First Rc Plane Or Helicopter

Flying RC planes has become a very popular hobby in recent times. With more and more people taking to flying radio controlled planes as a serious past time, you might find yourself in a lot of exciting company if you have also decided to take up the sport. Flying radio controlled or RC aeroplanes does not limit itself to simply guiding a small toy using a remote control in your hand, but involves a lot of other aspects ranging from construction and assembly to fixing and flying RC aircraft. If you are planning to buy your first RC aircraft, then some of the things that you will need to consider before you pick it up are:

The Amount Of Construction Required: All radio controlled areoplanes and RC helicopters do not come in a form where you can take it out of the box and fly it. Rather, there are three main categories—Ready To Fly, Almost Ready To Fly and Kit models, depending upon the amount of work you will need to put into the machine before you can have it up and running. As a beginner to radio controlled flying, you will do best with a Ready To Fly RC plane. However, if you like do it yourself jobs, then you may choose a model that needs to be assembled from a kit or take an Almost Ready To Fly one, depending upon how much you like putting things together.

The RC Grade Of The Machine: Radio controlled helicopters and aeroplanes are graded into two categories—toy grade and hobby grade. Toy grade RC machines cost less, have lesser controls, lesser adherence to scaling, lesser functions, dexterity and speed when compared to hobby grade RC aeroplanes. On the other hand, hobby grade models are more complicated and offer more functions, quality, performance, speed and strength. At the same time, they also cost much more than toy
1000
grade RC machines. Choose your RC plane from the toy or hobby grade depending upon your level of commitment to the sport of RC flying.

Type Of RC Flying Machine: RC flying machines can be divided into three broad categories—RC aeroplanes, RC jets and RC helicopters. You might want to select a radio controlled aeroplane as your first flying toy since RC jets are tougher to fly than aeroplanes. Radio controlled helicopters are not only the toughest ones to fly, but are usually the costliest of the lot as well. It is best to try your hands on a simple machine first and then progress to RC helicopters if you want to.

Source Of Energy: Radio controlled helicopters and planes either run on gas or on electric power from a battery. While gas powered RC planes will generally give you more longevity, or even power and speed, using a battery powered one is easier for beginners. Just like an ordinary toy, all you will need when running a battery powered radio controlled helicopter or aeroplane is to charge the battery and you are ready to fly.

Top Three Picks of RC Helicopter News Sites

One of the main functions of these RC helicopter news sites is the fact that you can be updated as to what are the hottest miniature helicopter models out there. The first one is probably the Dragonflyer X6 helicopter which has been the commercial manufactured UAC that was federally approved for legal use when it comes to emergencies in North America. The police forces have found the helicopter very helpful when it comes to taking pictures of collision scenes in particular and were very useful when it comes to these police investigations.

Another model that is still about to be released but is already creating some excitement in RC helicopter news websites is the Prox Dynamics PD-100. The model is being featured to be one of the best spy helicopters that would hit the market. The tiny, light and very silent helicopter carries a camera and runs with a speed of 20 miles per hour. It also has an autopilot setting as well. There are more features to this model but all the complete information including the price of this model would be given once the manufacturers have settled on a final release date.

Most RC helicopter news sites are also featuring the Havoc Stinger. This model has no exceptional features at all. In fact, it is very similar to other remote controlled helicopters. You may be wondering why it made the top three picks. This is due to the fact that the Havoc Stinger does not look like any other remote controlled helicopters. It actually has an insect look with matching LED eyes that glows. The model is available in three color combinations: orange and yellow, green and purple, and blue and orange.

Reasons to Read Helicopter News

Aside from the fact that you are able to know the latest model offerings by most miniature helicopter manufacturers, you also get to learn a lot of other useful information through reading RC helicopter news.

An example of this is the fact that you are able to get to read helpful articles that can touch up on different areas of owning an RC helicopter. This would include articles about the cleaning, maintenance and other areas that you would find useful as an owner of a radio controlled helicopter.

1f43

The RC helicopter is clearly a very useful and entertaining toy and can make for an interesting hobby.

A Brief Overview Of Radio-controlled Helicopters

Nobody is truly complete unless they have a hobby they are passionate about. Having a hobby will give you something to spend your time on, and something to enjoy when you have free time. If you are trying to find what hobby you can stick with, you should think about experimenting with radio controlled hobbies. You can build models of almost any vehicle, from boats to cars to planes to helicopters. Many hobbyists will get their start with helicopters. Helicopters are very complicated, but using the right kits you can get started without a problem. Once you fly your helicopter, you will feel that the entire experience was very rewarding. Flying the helicopter is a blast.

The most important part of flying a model helicopter is to be proficient in controlling it. You should understand exactly how to fly the helicopter, otherwise you run the risk of crashing it and ruining your entire investment, which is never good. Borrow a flight manual from someone who you know has a radio controlled helicopter. Take that chance to read through it and find out about all of the different terms, and the many knobs and levers that are required to maneuver the craft through the air. After you have read through it, take someone’s helicopter out for a test flight to see if you have what it takes to control one of your own. If you crash it, be prepared to pay up!

After you have decided that you will be able to handle a helicopter, and that you even want a helicopter, you can start looking for your own kit. You can buy radio controlled helicopters that come completely assembled and ready to fly right out of the box. However, there is not much fun in this, and they will probably only allow for a few hours of entertainment. The real fun comes when you buy a model that has to be construct
1000
ed from hundreds of small plastic pieces. It may be frustrating while you are in the middle of the process, but at the end when you have a great looking helicopter that flies smoothly, you will be glad you spent the time.

Your helicopter building experience doesn’t have to be limited to the simple kits. There are many different options for extremely advanced helicopters that have different shapes and features. You can find these in specialty shops all over the internet, and even in some brick-and-mortar locations. You shouldn’t buy a helicopter just because it looks interesting. Do research before you commit to building a particular one, so that you can find out what all it has to offer. You can find reviews and customer experiences all over the internet, on many different commerce sites. Find out about how well it flies, how easy it is to maneuver, the ease of assembly, and anything else that may matter.

So once you get everything built, what are you going to do with your radio controlled helicopter? It seems pretty boring to just take it out for a flight every weekend. If you’re really passionate about it, you should look for ways that you can interact with others who are equally interested. This can be in the form of clubs where you just go flying every month or two, or large conventions with hundreds of remote control enthusiasts crowded in, talking and exchanging ideas. Getting involved like this will give you a chance not only to have an outlet for your passion, but also to find out more about it and become better at building and flying helicopters.

If the thought of flying a toy helicopter seems at all exciting to you, then look into getting a kit today. It is a great feeling to discover a new hobby that you are good at and enthusiastic about, so don’t hold yourself back if you think it could be a positive addition to your life.

Over the last year the use of remote control helicopters for aerial photography applications has taken a massive leap forward into the mainstream. This is mainly due to more exposure in the press and thus more people knowing what is possible. The basic technology has actually been available for a while now, although recently it has become cheaper, more reliable and with a few new innovations, much safer.

So how can you go about getting your own aerial photography rig in the air? There are three main elements to consider:

* The helicopter airframe you wish to use.

* The camera gimbal, control and viewing system.

* Stabilisation and autopilot technology.

The best way to decide what remote controlled helicopter to use for your aerial photography project is to first decide what camera or camera weight you would like to use. If you decide to go for a budget option with a small point-and-shoot, then you can get away with a smaller helicopter to lift the weight. However if you want to go all out with DSLR aerial photography, then you will need a larger helicopter, at least a 600-class to lift the required weight. Stick with electric motors the benefits being less vibration and noise. The helicopter should be of a good build quality, being able to endure heavy lifting, and then modified to your requirements, the Align and Maxi Joker series are a popular choice.

Once you have a helicopter ready to go, make sure you can fly it comfortably. Then you can look at the best way to mount your camera system – in front or under slung. Both will work better in different situations, however I prefer a front mounted system, as this is easier to isolate from vibration, and allows a better angle for filming. The weight can easily be offset by mounting the batteries below the tail. Vibration isolation is very important; it is most certainly worth buying a more expensive mount that does a better job of this. Control can be achieved through a second radio system (and a second operator is recommended). Controlling pan, tilt, roll, shutter and many other functions is possible as well as video down links so you can see and frame you shots from the ground.

Flight stabilisation for remote controlled helicopters has moved forward very quickly recently, with great new innovations as well as military UAV technology making its way into the commercial market. I would recommend at least a basic system, as it will provide a much more stable platform to shoot from. If you are an experienced pilot, this will be enough. However if your budget can accommodate the outlay, there are autopilot systems capable of flying your aerial photography helicopter with no manual input via pre-programmed GPS waypoints. Safety is also a great benefit of these systems, from holding the helicopter stable if communication is lost, to returning it to its take-off point automatically with the more advanced systems.

A final word must be said about insurance and permission to conduct aerial work within the UK. So far as I know there is no equipment cover available for small unmanned aerial photography vehicles in the UK, there is however cover available for public liability and professional indemnity, both of which I recommend taking out. Finally the Civil Aviation Authority requires that any aerial work carried out in the UK has permission from them to do so. They are considered the leading body in this field and thus many other countries are following their approach.

Radio controlled helicopters are real fun devices to have. A perfect hobby for those who love flying. With all the modern software’s and gadgets today it’s become even easier to start flying your radio controlled helicopter. First of all you need to get a simulator that teaches you how to fly your radio controlled helicopter. This is a windows based program and can be plugged into the USB ports with an interlinked transmitter.

Its better you learn using this program before you get a model of your own .It helps you reduce or rather avoid any crashes. The next thing you have to do after you are sure of your flying abilities is getting yourself a helicopter. You have two basic categories to choose from – Nitro or an electric. For beginners a nitro model will do because it’s larger and much easier to work with as compared to an Electric model.

With a nitro Model you can choose from sizes 30, 40, 50, 70, 90. To start with you can go with a low budget 30 size. Another low budget models that you can use to start off with are Compass Model or Esky, this model is very easy to use, easily available at any hobby store and you can practice in your very own living room. After you have gained a little experience you can buy the Compass Model Knight 50 Sport, the most durable models in the market.

Once you got the model that you wan the next step is to get all the equipment that you need which is a must to fly your radio controlled helicopter. These equipments include your servos, gyros, transmitters, tail blades, main blades, paddles and field equipments. Your transmitter has to have at least six channels. You can try the new Spread Spectrum available from companies like Futaba. This works on 24 GHz and it does not interfere with any other radio systems, so you don’t have to worry about any interference. This transmitter will cost you around $350 to $500, but it’s definitely worth an investment because you can use this for a lifetime. Next coming to your servos.

Servos are actually devices that convert the electrical signals into mechanical actions. The servo that you get depends on the type of model you have. Generally all models require four servos, one to control the tail rotor pitch and three to control the swash plate. You will need three similar servos for the swash plates and a high speed one for the tail rotor. A gyro is necessary to control the tail rotor. You can get both the servos and the gyros for around $250.Anothe device needed is the blades which are usually available in the kit, but if they are not you can choose from wooden, fiberglass and carbon fiber blades. Next you will need your field equipment which includes the glow igniter, starter wand and motor and a fuel pump. All these items are sold in a kit and can be purchased easily depending again on your model.

Owning a radio controlled helicopter can be a lot of fun but learning how to fly one takes a lot of patience and hard work. It’s a skill game.

Man has always been fascinated with the idea of flying. It is perhaps because flying represents the ultimate form of freedom. Like the birds, there would be absolutely no boundaries. We could go wherever we wanted, and at any time. This has led to the invention of the aeroplane and the helicopter. This love is very much visible in kids even today. Kids simply love all kinds of flying toys. These toys are able to touch a child’s imagine in a way no other toys can. This is the reason why they make excellent gifts for little children.

Remote controlled helicopters

You can surprise your child with a special helicopter radio controlled. This is a toy which can be made to fly or hover about just like a real helicopter. It comes as a set, with the set containing a remote control and the helicopter itself, with wings on the top so that it can lift itself off the ground and fly as and when you give the commands through the remote. The remote works on radio waves, and can even be made to move the helicopter in all directions.

You will feel enthralled when you see your child’s eyes open wide with joy and wonder as he plays with this toy. He will be able to use this toy to fly wherever he likes. You can make these toys go up as high as 10-15 feet, or much more. A radio controlled helicopter is available in different colours and designs these days. You can also get special ones which represent military aircraft. These are especially loved by young boys who always envision themselves to be among the forces in this age.

Indoor toy helicopters

An indoor helicopter can also be available, so that you can ensure that your kids don’t hurt themselves while playing with these kinds of toys outdoors. This is because sometimes, little kids may get so involved in playing with these flying toys that they may fly their helicopters on to the road and get involved in nasty accidents in the process. Hence, these toys have a special processor which ensures that the signal doesn’t work outdoors. It serves as a simple and a safe toy so that your child can have the utmost fun, without hurting himself.

There are also toys of this kind that represent various popular themes. You can get helicopters that resemble the ones in popular cartoons like Pokemon and G.I.Joe. These will be especially loved by the kids, and he can proudly show them to his friends. It will give him an immense source of joy. You can also get these toys as gifts for other kids, in case you have to give presents to your nephews, nieces, or children of your friends. They can be given as an amazing present for every occasion – like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, birthdays and so on. The joy of a toy helicopter will be something that your kid will never forget, and will remember fondly for a very long time.
